Anam Masrur
About me
As a systems thinker and regenerative design consultant with over 25 years of experience, Anam is working at both grassroots and policy levels in sustainable agriculture, ecological restoration, and social development. Anam is specializing in regenerative agriculture practices, agroecology, permaculture design, organic and natural farming systems (Kyusei, KNF, JADAM, ZBNF) as well as in food sovereignty, and climate-resilient agri-landscapes both at community level or wider.
Through my work with Handicap International (now Humanity and Inclusion), UN ILO, OXFAM GB, UN FAO, GAIN, UNEP, World Agroforestry/ICRAF, Ministry of Agriculture, National Food Agency and Ministry of Development Planning/BAPPENAS, as well as many national/sub-national organizations, I’ve facilitated transformative projects that merge traditional knowledge, system innovation, and policy-level impact. As a trainer and educator, I’ve led hundreds of workshops and designed curricula for urban farming, syntropic agroforestry, bioeconomy, and community-based resilience.
