One of the bases for the formation of JAMTANI was concern over the condition where farmers have always been the object of agricultural development, farmers have always been in a weak position due to various economic, political, social, cultural and even global pressures. On the other hand, existing challenges encourage farmers' desire to have more capacity in various farming skills. Apart from that, farmers need to appear to fight to uphold the rights, honor and dignity of farmers to resolve their problems. Farmers believe that success is in the hands of farmers while other parties only act as drivers, facilitators and supporters.
As a community organization, JAMTANI is very familiar and experienced with activities such as: Carrying out training and developing farmer science as a basis for education through practical analysis patterns, Organic Farming Field Schools, Climate Field Schools, Farmer learning in carrying out environmentally friendly cultivation, Sharing experiences with NGO Partners , Government counselor etc. Formulating new ideas, developing water-saving cultivation (SRI), intercroping which can increase income by up to 30%, learning about soil ecology using practical methods that are easy for farmers to understand, maximizing local and cheap materials, building cooperatives and increasing added value (product marketing).

Our vision is to realize ecological agriculture that is just by building farmer independence through Climate Field Schools, synergy with universities, government institutions and other parties
