Nyatoto sub location in Homa bay county is mainly a farming community. The main crops grown in the area are maize, beans and sorghum. Livestock keeping is also done for domestic use. Horticulture is coming up as farmers engage in it for income generation. Though the climatic changes are unpredictable, farmers are working hard towards ensuring their household are food secure through engaging in good agricultural practices to bring back the glory of the land.
