The area is located in the tropical rainforesf ecological zone of Nigeria and it is inhabited majorly smallholder farmers.
Challenges include harmful practices by these farmers including felling of trees, overuse of fertiliser due to land degradation, use of pesticides and herbicides etc
Farmers need to be equipped with the resources to rejuvenate their lands, practice agroforestry, stop the use of chemicals etc.
