Short description of your place and practices

The Upper west region is made up of almost 36 districts out of which we are operating in three districts, thus sissala east, daffiama bussie Issa, Wa west and Jirapa district. these areas are characterized by farming activities and is a major source of livelihood for the indigenes. women in these areas are usually not allowed to own farm lands but labour on the farms of their husbands and take care of domestic affairs.
The area is characterized by large arable lands but they are unable to produce in large quantities, meaning these lands are very underutilized. our experience has been both challenging and interesting in terms of getting the men to allow their wives work independently and also as a start up, there is limited funding to access machinery, and other resources to reach as many Farmers as well.
we run in-grower model school to enhance climate resilience and high crop yield by providing quality agricultural inputs, sustainable farm trainings and advisory to small holder farmers especially women in the rural communities.
