Inter-cropping to diversify income sources and is seen as a crop insurance for farmers due to shortage of rainfall. Mulching, compost you, growing short maturing leguminous crops, using locally available materials to prepare pest and disease management practices.

Details of the farming system
Production of crops through multi-cropping (Inetercropping practices) systems that can maintain soil health and at the same time play a vital role for pest management purposes. Inter-cropping of cotton, maize, kideny beans, peanut and leafy greens is the commong pracitice. This has helped plenty of households to tackle challenges of irratic rainfall due to climate change, enhanced their food and nutrition security.
What is your dream for the future of your farm and/or your location in general?
To increase the livelihood and production system resilience of the area through the implementaiton of different agroecological practicies.
