Cepagro is an NGO based in southern Brazil, whose mission is is to promote Agroecology in rural and urban areas, looking to food and nutricional security. Our vision is to democratize the production and consumption of real healthy food, in the countryside and in the city. We work across four thematic lines: sustainable rural development, urban agriculture, agroecological education and organic waste management. Across the board, we participate in networks and collectives, in addition to occupying spaces for political advocacy, working to build public policies for Agroecology, Family Farming and food and nutritional security.
In 2023, we developed 5 projects, working in 21 cities/municipalities and 4 indigenous communities of Santa Catarina state, attending around 300 indigenous people, 80 farming families and 70 migrant people.
