Almost Heaven Permaculture Training and Development Pvt Ltd is a full-fledged permaculture development and design firm focusing on developing agroecology across Nepal. Led by its founder Zachary Barton, the company has established three of its own training and
development centres in the districts of Jhapa, Ilam and Panchthar in eastern Nepal.

The main activities of the company include:

• complete land and program design including, community needs assessments, implementation, management, evaluation and improvement services
• consultancy on development of ecological agricultural systems, practices and enterprises in this bioregion with a focus on value-added production and resilient food supply chains
• demonstration of agro-ecology practices appropriate to Nepal and the Himalayan bio-region
• training, capacity building and skills development of individuals, organizations, communities and businesses
• research in soil health and the soil food web, plant nutrition and nutritional density and all regenerative farming practices
• production of a diversity of biological resources such as: beneficial microbes, high quality composts, local and other high performing seeds, seedlings and other plant/microbe material and other resources to compliment food growing systems
• value added food transformation systems for micro-enterprises across the bioregion which are appropriate and profitable for small scale farmers

We grow our own food, sell commercially, transform crops into value-added food products, demonstrate agroecology, teach permaculture and consult on projects across Nepal
