Uptake motivation
Growing up in Wollo, Ethiopia, surrounded by the harsh realities of malnutrition and witnessing the impact of food aid dependency, I was deeply inspired to make a difference in my community. The stunted growth and challenges around me fueled a passion within me to empower my people with proper nutrition. It was this personal connection to the struggles of my community that motivated me to adopt the practice of agroecology. The idea of sustainable food systems, particularly agroecology, became my beacon of hope to bring about positive change and address the pressing issues of malnutrition and food insecurity. I aim to transform our food systems, ensuring a brighter and healthier future for my society.
