Details
The inoculant is very important for the practice to work. We use EM, which is somewhat sensitive, especially when preparing it at home. Your bokashi might not ferment if the inoculant does not work, and you might not know until your expected fermentation time has passed.

Depending on the kind of bin used, there are initial start-up costs. Also depending on the inoculation method used, there might be costs. We, for instance, incurred costs for an EM starter set. After that, costs are very low.
