Summary description of agroecological practice

I produce mushrooms from bean straws left by local farmers. After harvesting beans, bean straws are normally burnt, the process that contributed to air pollution.

Implementing the practice

Bean straws are chopped, sterilized and inoculated with mushroom spawn. After 30 days of inoculation, inoculated substrate is colonized by the spawn and becomes mushroom tube ready for plantation. Ten days after planting, we harvest mushrooms ready for cooking
