Details

I come from an area where the practice is common and therefore I acquired the skills locally and also from own experiments.

In terms of connectivity and taking up the practice more seriously, I attended an Asset Based Community Development training offered by ICRAF where I learnt and acquired skills on networking.

Uptake motivation

I was motivated to take up the practice more seriously after attending an Asset Based Community Development training offered by ICRAF where I learnt about the Leaky Bucket Tool as a local economic assessment tool. It made me realize how I could use sorghum farming practice as an opportunity to increase on my income.

The training also motivated me to identify other markets and link with them to boost on my income using my farming practice.
