Implementing the practice
I develop the tree seedlings on a seedbed ( some of the seeds I buy while majority I produce on-farm)
I use organic manure and use potting bags and recycled products
for the seedlings
In terms of water use, I have a small water pan that I use for rain water harvesting that I later use for the practice.
In terms of market access, I sell the seedlings locally and sometimes in outside markets. I also plant some on my farm
Why you use and what you expect from this practice?
1. There is availability of products used in the practice and this makes the work easier.
2. There is ready market for the seedlings
