Summary description of agroecological practice
Using waste plastic materials for gardening and landscaping.
Type of agroecological practice
My agroecological practice is based on recycling. This makes use of what others may consider as waste to grow short cycle greens for home consumption. I use an organic approach of soil fertility and pest management. This is possible because I grow animals like rabbits, pigs and chicken.
Implementing the practice
The practice involves lots plastic cutting for growing of crops and a lot of digging for landscaping
Why you use and what you expect from this practice?
I expect reduction in plastic pollution within my community withing period of 5years by 70% and this can only be possible through sensitization of the population on the aforementioned methods of using plastic waste
