Soroti

Soroti is in the semi arid region of Uganda, soils are rated by farmers as being poor to moderately fertile. Land area for agricultural production is increasing reducing in size and soil fertility is equally reducing at faster rate due to over cultivation. This puts sustainable land and food productivity at crossroads, moreover access to soil amendments is very poor or their utilisation is very low!
