Détails

Passed down through generations from my grandmother, I initially learned about agroecology and traditional practices through family traditions. My understanding of the environment developed from these ancestral teachings. However, as the land became degraded, I began to study autonomously to adapt and address these challenges. This self-taught approach, driven by a deep-rooted connection to my heritage and a commitment to restoration, has been essential in applying modern agroecological techniques to repair and rejuvenate the damaged environment. My journey reflects a blend of traditional knowledge and contemporary solutions to foster ecological recovery.

Motivation pour l'adoption

The primary motivation to adopt the practice stemmed from the desire to preserve land for long-term sustainability and ensure the continued viability of my livelihood. I sought to enhance food sovereignty and boost economic growth by implementing agroecological methods that support local agriculture. Additionally, I recognized the potential to negotiate environmental services, such as improved soil health and biodiversity, which can offer further economic and ecological benefits. This holistic approach addresses both immediate needs and future sustainability, ensuring that the land remains productive and valuable for generations to come.
