(Bukuru Farm) Jos South Rural Communities

Based in the vibrant community of Bukuru in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, our farm is a hub for promoting agroecology practices and environmental sustainability. At the heart of our efforts is the dual focus on training local farmers for both consumption and commercial purposes. Through initiatives led by Youth for Environmental Sustainability and Development (YESD), we actively educate the community on sustainable farming practices and introduce innovative approaches like biofertilizer production.

Our experiences have been transformative, witnessing the eagerness of farmers to embrace sustainable methods and the positive impact on their livelihoods. By fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and bridging the gap in agricultural education, we aim to create a lasting positive impact on the agricultural practices in our region.

The main purpose of our organization in the Bukuru Farming Community is to champion environmental sustainability and development through agroecology practices. We aim to establish a model for sustainable farming that caters to both consumption and commercial needs.
