Shashe, Masvingo

Masvingo is one of the dry region that receives low rainfalls during the rain season. Inorder to overcome water challenges, there is need to come up with water harvesting techniques. Masvingo is an ideal place for growing small grains that are drought tolerant. At my place I practice the following agroecology practices: harvesting, making contour ridges, use of organic manure to feed the soil, growing of traditional grains, organic kitchen gardens and seed saving.

My dream is to upscale agroecology activities that will help to tranform my life through income generation. I want to do practices that conserve the soil and environment. My experiences are that most of the activities are not at a good state due to shortage of water.
